How To Become A Professional Salesperson

More than 10 million people are selling products and only 1 out of 10 are truly capable at being “professionals” – Why?

Gerhard believes its the “lack of commitment” which is definitely true but only one piece of the puzzle. Learning how to sell is just like anything else you’ve learned, it takes knowledge, practice, skills, feedback, and experience to transcend the amateur status…

If you’re looking to grow your business or raise your income, it is solely proportionate to your ability (or your team) to sell. This is absolutely true no matter the product/service/industry. The good news is selling is easy with the right training and guidance.

For example, if you’re selling a product in the health and wellness niche – it’s important to know the needs/wants/fears/pains someone might be experiencing.

Maybe it’s the yo-yo cycle of weight loss…
Maybe it’s the unbearable cravings…
Maybe it’s the lack of an achievable plan…
Maybe it’s the ability to be consistent….
Maybe it’s the limiting beliefs someone has…
Maybe it’s the desire to look good…
Maybe it’s the desire to feeling energetic…
Maybe it’s the concern around health issues…

Selling to each and every person is going to be different based on what they share.

A “professional” sales person will spend enough time inquiring or questioning a person until the salesperson really knows what’s going on. It might take 5 minutes, 30 minutes, or even 2 hours. The professional wouldn’t continue to make the offer until both the salesperson and the client both believe they truly understand each other.

If you’re looking to qualify if someone is indeed a right fit for what you’re selling, here’s some questions you could ask-

“What are some of the concerns?”
“Have you tried a similar solution before? – Did it work? Why not?”
“What’s really important to you?”
“What specifically are you looking for assistance on?”

Remember, leading with the attitude and professionalism of servitude and the absolute self-less desire to help someone grow are pivotal to building relationships. I constantly ask myself and my clients, “How can I serve you?”

If hitting new numbers this year is important, you’ll need to get a mentor, coach, or training resources to help you grow to the next level.

I know how hard it is to look for the “right” help, and really trying to find it from the right person. Someone you can relate to, that you believe can help you, someone that you can trust. Someone who has a proven methodology to create duplicatable results.

The good news if you’re still reading, then I’m you’re guy. I’ve boiled it down into a simple 3-step formula that I’ve used over and over again. Last month, I did a webinar, it was nuts. I’m doing it again, and you’ll want to be there. It’s free, so you can sign up right here:
